Lungujja Community Health Caring Organization-LUCOHECO-TB Prevention Strategic Vision 2022-2030

Dear everyone,

We are Persons with Disabilities working in partnership with the Advocacy Network Africa (AdNetA).

We reach out to you to join the effort to eradicate TB.

In our effort to define our Strategic Vision, we launched this page where we invite you to provide any support to us to eradicate TB.

Background

Recognizing the changes in the health landscape and commitments to involve Persons with Disabilities (PWD), we hope to contribute to the Action Plan to Stop TB for the next 10 years.

We desire to work with a broad spectrum of partners, including TB survivors, civil society and communities, country representatives, healthcare providers, Board members, donors, private sector and many other entities or individuals. The Persons with Disabilities have the potential to contribute to the TB Prevention, Care, Interventions and Mitigation Strategic Vision if their voices are included.

We shall inform the future strategic and organizational requirements to eradicate TB totally.

Your role

It is essential for all Persons with Disabilities to contribute to the thoughts about the future TB Prevention, Care, Eradication and Mitigation Strategic Vision. To ensure broad participation and honest engagement we have developed this platform along five themes: (1) Social, cultural, infrastructural, economic, physical and mental factors linked health landscape and how they affect TB, (2) Persons With Disabilities' Inclusive actions to accelerate TB progress, (3) value that various interventions deliver vis-a-vis Persons With Disabilities (PWD), (4) your expectations from the TB Prevention, Care, Mitigation and Eradication Services, and (5) the application of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B) principles as a means of aspiring toward the SDGs tailored for Persons With Disabilities. These five themes are critical in informing the future Strategic Vision. We kindly ask that that you join us in this effort.

Empower Persons with Disabilities to enjoy full participation and commitment to TB Prevention, Care, Mitigation and Eradication as part of the intentional purpose, and we hope that together we can create the future we want and define the future Strategic Vision needed to end TB by 2030.
